WHERE: at the MoMa (museum of modern art) in San Francisco

~me and my mom took a one hour break to go look around~

get ready to see what we saw!

things i saw that I took pictures of to show you....

FABULOUS

weird sculpture of a golden, Michael Jackson, with a monkey....
kinda DISTURBING, but really something about it kinda scared me, and I don't know why...ha ha ha
(and I love me some Michael)

FABULOUS: a photo of Marilyn Monroe by just someone standing near the shoot, of her famous, skirt blowing up shot!

FABULOUSLY RIDICULOUS: that they were selling 1 dollar bills for 99 cents...and they said they'd almost sold out of them that day! ha ha ha...I love this!

this one is a little more on the RIDICULOUS side: you could buy 7 pennies for $1.99! ha ha ha

the view looking up

and moving our eyes a little more down....

and I'm in the SPOTLIGHT: A FABULOUS feeling (and weirdly it's kinda Michael Jackson-ish, black hat, spotlight...ha ha ha)
Spotlights sensors pick up movement and follow you where ever you  walk in the lobby...so fun-ny!
RIDICULOUS: NO   FABULOUS: YES

The fact that it took me 2 hours to upload these photos and type this blog: sort of RIDICULOUS....ha ha ha ha....so i hope you think it's FABULOUS!

What was inside?

An Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Stalker or Uzi
One of my favorite smudgey eyeshadow brushes from Crown Brush
A cute shirt from a very addictive beauty site: www.beautylish.com
(beautylish also gave us the Say Yes to Carrots  Organic lip balms to give away! Thanks BeautyLish!)
Ivi Scents "super yummy" soap
and some Professional Make-Up Artist Catalogs and Info...and some secret things for success for people that came to the PRO class! (Can't show you because they are a very special somethings for people who come to the Glaminar to help launch their careers!)
you can't have a glaminar without cupcakes!
And these were some of the best we've ever had!
Kara's Cupcake's in San Francisco are amamzing!
(I ate at least half a dozen...hee hee, they were mini's though!)
No one will ever know just how incredible the day is at a Glaminar, unless you've been there...
yeah you leave with all kinds of tips and tricks for make-up that I can't share on youtube (too many things that need to be explained on why I do each step)...
yes you learn secret Pro make-up products that no one's probably even ever heard of on Youtube, Pro make-up supplies and places to get things....
 BUT THE REAL PART is:
people don't know that they will leave this day...a changed person...with new happiness, so much confidence it'll change their future...their career, their relationships....
they'll learn how to change the world around them...how to be unforgettable....
and most importantly how to change their lives....make their dreams real...
and how to sparkle in a world full of mean, cynical people...that have no hope!
WOW FACT:
I was so honored to meet a precious girl, Shahidah Roslan, who flew all the way from SINGAPORE to be at this "almost last" Glaminar! She was precious and so sweet and her camera had just died when we went to take a picture and mine was done too!
San Francisco was amazing...people clapped, cheered, cried, laughed, screamed...like no other city has yet! I will always remember each precious person that I hugged!

THE VERY LAST GLAMINAR will be in Los Angeles!
in 2 weeks on December 5th...
it will be one of our biggest....with special surprises because it's our last one....
it will also probably very sad for me...to know it's the last one...
I can't wait though!
I am truly honored to be a part of so many precious people's lives...and my heart is so honored and humbly thanks each one of you for letting me into your heart and inspiring you all!

Thank you so much....for letting me into your lives...even if we've only "met online"...that's how lots of marriages have started...so it's not that weird! ha ha ha ha

huge love to you all... (I will be taking a rest to have baby and be with my family, and focus on some other projects...exciting ones for you guys too!) in LA:

huge love my precious hearts......a very honored, kandee

Fall Make-Up on my mom!

Get ready to add some dazzle to your fall make-up! Instead of all the FALL/AUTUMN "trends"...which are always so predictable....browns, golds, blah.....I wanted to show you how to add some color to typical "brown-neutral" shades of fall!
Ban the boring old brown and gold....
And have some pink with pink that's bold!!!

"LIFE'S TOO SHORT TO WEAR BROWNS!"- ha ha ha ha

This is a very fun and funny video(watch the end for the funny parts with my mom)!

HERE'S WHAT I USED ON MY MOM:

LIQUID FOUNDATION~
Make-Up Forever HD Foundation in #170 Caramel (used to contour and add warmth to her face)

CREAM FOUNDATION (that I use as a concealer)~
COVER FX CREAM FOUNDATION (my new skin-perfecting addiction!!! I love this stuff so much I would marry it! ha ha ha) in M70
(seriously, this is the most skin -perfecting, beautiful make-up I've ever put on!)

FACE POWDER:
La Mer "The Treatment" Face Powder (very fancy pants...amazing coverage, I have no idea how much this stuff costs...It was a gift to me. It's probably pricey, but it is incredible!) in Porcelain

CHEEK COLOR:
CREAM CHEEK COLOR~I used a bright pink cream cheek color (to add a youthful glow to my mom's face) in POSEY from MAC...and hot pink cream color or even a hot pink lipstick will work!

POWDER BLUSH~ I went over her cheeks first with ANGEL from MAC, a light matte pink, then I dabbed a few colors for warmth and depth, I used:
a peach color - PEACHES N' PINK from MAC
and a mocha-rose color- MOCHA from MAC

EYES:
TO PRIME THE EYE, I used:
SOFT OCHRE Paint Pot from MAC (this will make sure shadow is very pigmented, will stay on longer, and hides ugly veins and redness in the lids)
SHADOWS:
(and because everyone always asks ans I forget to say: the palette's I use are Z PALETTE'S, they are magnetic, see-through, and awesome! You can get them at: www.zpalette.com)
I used a neutral shadow - use ANY shade that matches your skin, for my mom I used BRULEE from MAC.
TO ADD DIMENSION to her eye I used a combo of cool and warm browns together...
CORK -a warm brown from MAC & CHARCOAL BROWN (a cool brown from MAC)

EYELINER:
I used Black Black (it's a pro color from MAC or you can use any cream/gel black liner) and an angled brush. I also really like AQUA BLACK from Make-Up Forever that is totally water-proof!
I went over it with black eyeshadow to soften the edge, in CARBON from MAC.

LASHES:
I curled her lashes, applied several coats of L'Oreal Extend Tubes Mascara (we both LOVE this stuff!)

EYEBROWS:
I used an angled brush an eyeshadow in a cool dark brown (the darker the eyebrows the younger you look!), I used CHARCOAL BROWN (or you could use COQUETTE) from MAC

LIPS:
I used a HOT PINK lipliner from Make-Up Forever in 16C FUSCHIA to apply a "stain" for the pink base.
Then I went over the edges in CHERRY RED from MAC.
And topped it off with a HOT PINK BLUSH to set the lipstick and give it a velvety-matte look.
I used HOT PINK blush, any brand will work, from MAC.
I ALSO dabbed ANGEL (a light baby pink blush) in the center of the lips to make them look bigger!

So don't be boring this fall with browns, add some punch and fun with this fun look! Get ready to watch this fun and funny video! Make sure you watch the end!

hot pink leaves.....kandee

(she has driven over 8 hours with her family, including a 20 month old baby, to be at the Glaminar!!! So happy she won!!!)
My lil' Alani on stage with me...her leggings matched the table cloth!
the official Glaminar sign that everyone looks for when they are in the hotel! I will be sad when the Glaminars are over after LA in December....I will miss meeting everyone...and touching people's lives...the only thing people can say afterwards is: "There are no words to describe this, this is so much more than make-up! This has forever changed my life!".  I will miss inspiring people to become new, more confident, happy-filled, powerful and hyper-creative people...the most! I love encouraging people's hearts..these Glaminars teach a lot of tips and tricks for make-up...how to really catapult your career into high speed...but the best part is:
it teaches people how to be more confident than they've ever been
how to live the life they've always dreamed of
how to be happy no matter what
how to be the most attractive, glowing person wherever you go
and how to touch people's lives and leave a trail of smiles where ever you go!!!
what the tote bags look like...that everyone gets..and they are always filled with fun goodies...like one of my favorite make-up brushes from Crown Brushes and so much more!

I may be totally exhausted after a Glaminar day, of waking up at darkness...standing with my big pregnant belly...and not finishing until I've spent a good 16 hours on my feet...but my heart is overjoyed, always!

For those of you that dont' get to go to a Glaminar, I hope this post is just a little fun peek, as if you went with me,  like a little butterfly on my shoulder!

huge love...and I'm off to finish up all the details for the SAN FRANCISCO GLAMINAR this weekend!!!! Down to the last 2! go here for info on GLAMIANARS: www.glaminar.com

huge love from a huge bellied...kandee

I got the BOOT! (FALL MUST HAVE BOOTS!)

I love having a style that maybe I'll like a popular trend...but mostly I just wear what I seems fun and I love! So here's my Fall Favorite boots or if you like to a call it Autumn, my Awesome in Autumn BootS!!!

I've had my Minnetonka Boots for a long time.. When I did wardrobe styling for a cowboy movie I used Minnetonka moccasins because they look so authentic and and so beautifully made! (yes I used to do wardrobe styling for tv and movies too!)...I can't tell you how comfortable and cute these are! These are my must wear boots when I travel...
(me wearing my mocs in LAX airport!)
they come off super fast in the airport for the security check! ha ha ha And they really feel like you are wearing slippers!
I tried to find the cheapest company on line to link for you guys if you want to buy some too! And here's what I found: www.shoebuy.com

I get stopped and asked where I got these doll shoes...ALL the time! I love these....they have an old victorian feel with a touch of military edge...they have a little wedge-action to give you a little height boost, and they are soooooooooo comfortable! I put a Dr. Scholl's Gel liner in them...and I could walk in them for days!!!
I got mine in New York at the Miz Mooz Store....but you can order them here: www.infinityshoes.com
me with my miz mooz boots...I love em!
here's my mom pushing a bunch of GLAMINAR luggage in her miz mooz at the airport..she lives in her boots!

Next up: ADD A LITTLE MORE EDGE TO ANY LOOK- Doc Martens TRIUMPH PLAID 1914 BOOTS...a feminine long dress, some legging and oversized sweater...I love these boots...I got mine on Melrose at some store where you can haggle for your price....so I got mine super cheap! ha ha They are a softer worn-out leather that's a light black, that's looks a little vintage and distressed already! Love that look!
I love these boots...you can wear them up, or fold the tops down to show the pink flannel plaid or tartan pattern on the inside! One of my classic "outfit of the day" self-porttraits (ha ha ha)

Hope you had a boot-y-ful adventure with me!

Some of my other favorite boots I've gotten an thrift stores or vintage stores or flea markets...after I've tried my best to disinfect them! ha ha ha But there's no way to show you where to buy them!

these boots were made for walkin'....and that's just what they'll do....
one of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you....
boot scoot and boogie...kandee
